Genesis

The Vidyalaya is located in the Army area at Allenby lines in the rear of Railway Station , Ambala Cantt and at a distance of 2 km from Ambala Cantt’s Railway station and General Bus stand.There are permanent staff sanction of 63 regular staff excluding part time teachers , coaches in Games, Sports, Art and Craft, Dance,Nurse and counsellor. The enrollment exceeds 1200 students. The Vidyalaya was started in the year 1980 with a single section which was expanded to 3 section school in the year 1993 with facilities of Science, Commerce streams in class XI and XII. The School was originally created to cater to the needs of families of Army Personals as KV under the Defence sector but it is still continuing to cater to the needs of families of civilian families of the area. Facilities available including Games and Sports , Library , Music , Vocation courses etc.
